Whether a home colour hasn't gone the way you hoped, colour has faded unevenly, or you're moving to a very different shade, colour correction puts things right. Because every head of hair needs a different approach, we always assess in person first and quote a price before starting.
What is Colour Correction?
Colour correction covers any technical work needed to fix or significantly change existing colour, from removing unwanted tones and rebuilding even coverage, to correcting patchy or brassy results. It can take considerably longer than a standard tint, and sometimes needs more than one appointment.
The Process
Consultation - we look at your hair's current colour, condition and history to work out what's needed
Strand test - a test section may be treated first to check how your hair responds
Correction - colour is removed, rebuilt or adjusted in stages as needed
Rinse & condition - colour is rinsed out and a conditioning treatment applied to protect your hair
Ideal For
A home colour that hasn't gone to plan
Brassy, patchy or uneven colour
Moving to a significantly different shade
Anyone unsure whether their hair can take another colour service
Aftercare & Maintenance
Because colour correction can be more demanding on the hair, we'll talk through the best aftercare and timing for your next appointment once the correction is complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much will colour correction cost?
It depends entirely on your hair and what needs correcting, so we always assess in person and give you a quote before starting, free of charge.
Will I need more than one appointment?
Sometimes, yes - more significant corrections are safer for your hair when spread across two or more visits rather than rushed into one.
